'The Last Passenger' is a wood relief carving of a female passenger pigeon, a species of bird that was considered extinct from overhunting by the 1890's. This bird used to cover the skies, but now little is remembered of this creature. It served mankind well as a food source, but without responsible regulations, this bird dwindled to extinction.
